Camping

There are limited possibilities for camping directly at or near the Algarve International Circuit.

A designated area for caravans is available within the circuit grounds, but access is subject to a paid permit. Please note that this caravan park offers only the most basic facilities – no water, no electricity, and no permanent infrastructure are available. It serves primarily as a temporary parking space rather than a full-service camping site.

Overnight stays in other areas around the circuit are not permitted, and local regulations strictly prohibit camping, sleeping in vehicles, or setting up tents in nearby parking areas or along local roads.

Fans attending major events like the Formula 1 Portuguese Grand Prix or MotoGP Portugal are therefore advised to book accommodation or a proper campsite in the surrounding towns well in advance, especially as demand rises sharply during race weekends.

Camping Alvor
A popular and well-equipped campsite located in Alvor, approximately 20 km from the circuit. It offers shaded pitches for tents, motorhomes, and caravans, plus facilities such as a swimming pool, restaurant, and supermarket. The relaxed atmosphere and easy access to the beaches make it a convenient option for racegoers looking to combine motorsport with leisure.

Orbitur Camping Valverde
Located near Lagos, about 23 km from the Algarve International Circuit, this large campsite is part of the Orbitur network and provides modern amenities, including a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, and power hook-ups for caravans. It’s a family-friendly choice with easy access to both the coast and the mountain roads leading to the circuit.
